Sure. A guy hand-picked by Trump chooses a Republican former FBI head with an impeccable record who is praised by Democrats and Republicans alike at the time. That's the guy with the conflict of interest, not the one who Trump is now installing who previously called the Special Counsel probe a "lynching".
