This is utter nonsense, we all no there are no mainstream inherent attractions for males and females alike... of any species!!! Discovery channel is ignorant.
Discovery channel is great...I have noticed those traits in my own children and their friends over the years with the exception of two. One young neighbours boy who only wanted to play with girls and dolls etc., and is now a middle aged woman. The other is a 2nd cousin, Rita who preferred to play with the boys toys, He is now named Alex....
How is this ignorance? It is showing the similarities between monkeys and humans. Evolution in no way suggests that we're an evolved version of monkeys but more a brance from the trunk of a tree of a common ancestor. We have a lot of the same genetic makeup and although this is not conclusive evidence of what toys girls and boys like, it does give a possible explanation as to why we are currently thinking the way we are with the different social norms and toys for both genders.
Interesting. The same people who claim we are related to monkeys are typically the same who spout off that there is no gender difference between men and women; I wonder how most will react.

Chimps and humans both share approximately 100,000 genes...Only 50 are different. That make you and I....Dare I say it? Almost 100% chimp!
Very interesting article. I don't understand the hostility one might have towards Discovery reporting it's mere obervations.
Are they somehow treading on dangerous, poltically incorrect ground?
