To add to that..... It's like the 6 years of attacks by Republicans and Trump on ACA... and when they got office, all they could come up with was a plan to "slowly kill off a mass of people", absolutely no regard or concern for the elder, and very little for children, and selling young adults a do nothing plan, that would only feed the Insurance Industry at the expense of young people who are trying to build their lives.
We can't forget Paul Ryan and his incessant aims to attack Medicare, Social Security and try to privatize these major systems.
Then there is Mitch McConnell, the serpent in the weeds, endorsing every bit of Republican vile and pushing a Republican led sanctioned support of every sort of Congressional Malice.
Add to it the mass of Republican Congressmen who gave up their responsibility to America, to be a puppet force to Republican and Trump corrupt vile against not only America, but the U.N. and N.A.T.O and denigrating elements of Our Alliance Agreements. As they sat silent to support a trade war that has damaged industries in America and wreaked havoc on American Farmers.

Even though in American society a man's word is no longer thought of as his bond ... the rest of the world is late in catching up. We keep changing policy every four years then agreements made with America are volatile.
We need leaders who are in agreement with one another, so when America talks, others listen rather than walk.
"Spilling the beans?" Tillerson was a joke. He was in way over his head. He couldn't have accomplished what Mike Pompeo has. He was too milquetoast.
He broke his long silence about working for Trump, which I found enlightening. It's always interesting to get an insider's view of the goings on at the White House, and that's as true when it involves his supporters as his detractors. The problem is that you liberals read H.L Mencken (whoever he is) and we people on the other side of the political spectrum read non fiction books where you might actually learn real world stuff.
Just for the record, Mencken would have a field day with todays liberals. Read him some time, he did not suffer fools and was considered a devotee of "classic liberalism" which is nothing like todays co-opted version of liberalism.
