I mean, the issue is not really up for debate anymore. Trump ran his campaign on building the Wall, and that is why he got elected.

So, why are Democrats trying to oppose Trump on this?

That's not why I voted for Trump.

But it is clear that Democrats are going to oppose Trump on 100% of anything that he does.

NICE job of conveniently overlooking the FACT he also ran his campaign on Mexico paying to build that wall.

Of course he also ran on the premise he was not just another lying politician which we now know to be the biggest lie of all.

Yeah, not exactly the reason why I voted for him.

Shades of Mitch McConnell and Obama.

Funny how even high falutin' politicians pick what they plant like any other mere mortals on this planet, eh?

Trump made it very clear from day 1 that he was going to build the Wall. He repeated it frequently during speeches and rallies throughout his campaign. It was his defining, signature issue.

So, everybody who voted for Trump knew that he was going to build the Wall if he was elected President.

Look - you could say the same about Obama when he got elected. The people wanted him. Why oppose him on ObamaCare, or carbon taxes? Because they are bad for the country in the long term.

Dems think the wall is bad. Elections won't change that. They are OK ignoring the current laws and letting criminals roam between the countries. It is what it is.

We do realize that a bunch of relatively ignorant voters may have bought that line. Heck, much more sophisticated bankers, investors and contractors have been duped by Trump over the decades when he claimed he'd do this or do that.

So, what of it? Why brag about listening to a liar or con man?

If he wants to build a border wall on Mexico's dime as promised, let him build a border wall. Just don't use my money to finance it. Lying to me and telling me Mexico will pay me back at some unknown date in the future won't change my analysis.
