I'm going to come down on the side of individual liberty on this. Unless it can be proven that Desmond is doing this under duress or that his performance violates any laws, it's his personal right to do what he does.
If the child in question is a tarted up 11 year old female dancing sexually and suggestively, and stripping in a bar for the pleasure of drunk men at 3 am who throw money at her, do you have the same reaction?
Do you feel it is perfectly acceptable, nothing wrong with it, and the child should keep doing it?
He's 11 years old he's got imbeciles for parents who haven't set any limits on him and it appears he has some cognitive and emotional challenges if indeed he falls within the autism spectrum as someone stated he does. I find your statement disturbing.

Threads like this are what remind me that modern libertarianism is basically a troll ideology, not meant to be taken seriously. lol
Everything. If children were not allowed in bars, the incident would have never occurred. It also could have easily happened in a heterosexual establishment.
Conservatives are just triggered by the fact it was a gay bar so that is why you are so focused on that aspect of it.
And if it was a young girl dancing provocatively in a straight bar, liberals would be apoplectic (as would conservatives).
The issue is individual liberty. If the boy, himself, has voluntarily chosen to do this, no laws are being violated, and taxpayers aren't funding his own personal choice, it's no one's right to be judgmental about it. Oh, sure, we can all have opinions, but we cannot project them onto the boy.
I don't know dude; I get the feeling that this "choice" may be like the vegetarian cat. We know who's making that choice.
It is entirely possible that Desmond was not coerced or groomed into this. That is, he did it of his own free will. It's possible he got the ideas from seeing web videos, TV shows, or reading articles on drag kids. That said, I think one should be at least 18 before they decide go into drag.

Again, it wasn't a strip tease. It was a re-enactment of what female entertainers do. It's no different than an 11 year old male grabbing his crotch to emulate rappers.
It's all about individual liberty. Don't like it? Don't patronize the bar/performance.
He was featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show.
I was speaking about this recent event. The previously gushing media has grown a bit silent.
