^^^^^^But if Obama was doing this you'd be calling him a great humanitarian. Total hypocrisy.
No ... I'm objecting to Trump going on and on as if he's the savior of the American military man when he's talking about TWO Americans dead from enemy fire in Syria - who may not even have killed on his watch. All the calls to husbands and wives that broke his heart - he ... made ... it ... up.
Now sure, there have been Americans killed in other areas and no doubt he telephoned. And heck, he may even have been saddened. But that was not Syria with his argument that Americans (remember, not in combat) were at great risk there ... FALSE, at least per the data.
That bugs me. These issues are difficult enough without the trickery.
The one thing most republican and Democrat voters agree on is that the foreign occupations have gone on for too long. 18 years!? If the Kurds can’t fight on their own by now they never will be able to. Bring our damn troops home! Secure OUR border. Enough is enough.

But traitor Trump is doing it for Putin and Erdogan NOT for the American troops.
I agree that we shouldn't be involved in the overseas conflict any more that absolutely necessary.
However, straight-up packing up and leaving the area is bound to have negative consequences. Rather, I'd prefer there to be a 12-18 month exit strategy in place where we can draw back our troops while trying to help maintain peace in the region.
Personally, I'm torn -- I'm against the genocide and wars that are going on in Syria. I'm also against the slavery going on in Yemen. I'm just not sure that the US being the primary "world forces" is the best thing.
