Republicans were blamed for the 2013 shutdown, and won the 2014 midterms.
Democrats were blamed for the previous shutdown, and won 2018 midterms (or won half of it).
People love shutdowns.
No immigration laws having been changed, it is the exact same as it was when Obama was in office.
A person legally entering the country is not impacted by the things you noted above.
What you mean everyone else doesn't?
Yes, like every other person that legally immigrates to the US. I can provide you with a step by step process if you like from several real life examples from my friends and relatives that have done this.
I don't ever remember a president shutting down government because of $5B for a misguided program. This is new, the house didn't want it included in the original proposal until Trump changed his mind. There are plenty of republicans that feel this is wasteful including some senators.
Maybe someone has some historical reference for a president presenting an ultimatum in prior shutdowns.
Well, we have given a combined $4.5 billion in aid to Israel and Egypt in 2018, so the five billion really is not the issue, the wall is the issue. They do not want a wall, even if it was free.
Why do the democrats keep causing these shutdowns? Dont they care about those poor government workers? I’m sure the republicans will figure something out. They always come up with solutions to the Democrat’s messes.
