All of the parochial schools, K-12, my niece and nephew attended cost less annually in tuition than their local public school spent per student per year.

Most public school systems are very top heavy with administrators who do not teach.

With parochial schools you have priests, etc. to worry about.

True. Why not purge them? It's not necessary to have so many, PLUS their pensions are way too high. Look at the K-12 public school administrators' pensions in this chart:

Not really. Priests don't run the schools, and almost none of them teach classes. Administration, faculty, and staff are almost all laypersons.

seems to me OP stats like 95% are pulled out of thin air 95% of the time...

So what we really have is Wallbuilders feelings , his or her emotional response.

Wallbuilder "feels" like poor people are poor because they are stupid and or lazy.... again FEELS in his or her gut... wallbuilder provides us with nothing other than a sample of her or his emotional state of mind.
That describes Trump supporters in a nutshell. They disregard stats when it comes to border security, so why not poverty?

I'll add that this take on poverty is appealing to many who identify as "conservative" on today's political spectrum because it justifies their worldview that extreme selfishness is a virtue.

The predators meet their victims somehow. And those who are schooled Monday-Friday go to church on Sunday.

Usually, it's via the victims' role as altar boy (though recently they have altar girls, too). That requires direct instruction/training from a priest, and it is exactly such situations which have led to almost all of the pedophile abuse.

By the way, there is no requirement whatsoever that one has to be Catholic or even a Christian to enroll in a parochial school.
