Default Border Wall FAIL: all eight prototypes breached with ordinary tools

OF COURSE!

If humans built it, humans can unbuild it.

Trying to wall off yourself from other countries is a stupid, stupid idea that has been obsolete for a couple thousand years.

Get back with us when we stop having thousands still breaching our border every month, will you?
That's just silly. Of course there are random comments by border patrol personnel, mainly because part of the "plan" involves hiring tens of thousands of new CBP employees. Hiring more agents is a direct benefit to them, it creates more promotional opportunities; did you ever hear a cop who said that their agency doesn't need to hire more cops?

But the fact is most drugs come through ports of entry, it's a blatant lie to claim that a significant amount of drugs are carried into this country by border crossers, the cartel doesn't trust people enough to send them to the US with backpacks full of drugs, it's far easier to sew the dope into stuffed animals or put in tires and truck it into the US on semis.

Don't you think it would be beneficial to determine what ought to be built where before funding the project to the tune of $5.7 billion?

Most construction sites have a ton of Mexicans so why would anyone think a wall would stop them?

This is interesting. The 'wall' in this article is the one that Trump is currently pushing. It failed the test of prototype walls that Trump commissioned because you can cut through it with a 'quick saw' in a matter of minutes. When Trump was confronted with this information he said the wall in question was the product of a previous administration.

How any reasonable person can keep buying his BS and pretending that we are dealing with someone who is sane is troubling to say the least.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, you understand what prototypes are for, yes?

And I posted this earlier from the same link:

Quote:
"While the design currently being constructed was informed by what we learned in the prototypes, it does not replicate those designs," said Waldman. "The steel bollard design is internally reinforced with materials that require time and multiple industrial tools to breach, thereby providing U.S. Border Patrol agents additional response time to affect a successful law enforcement resolution. In the event that one of the steel bollards becomes damaged, it is quick and cost-effective to repair.

And also from your link:

Quote:
Responding to the picture from the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday morning, Trump claimed "that’s a wall designed by previous administrations."

While it is true that previous administrations used this design, the prototype was built during his administration.

Again.....

Why do you think that a barrier must be 100% impenetrable in order to be worthwhile?

Can you describe such a barrier?

Maybe something more akin to the original concrete wall that Trump wanted?

The thing is, there's really no such barrier that is 100% impenetrable......even a big concrete wall can be drilled through or blown up.

But that's not the point.

A wall can also incorporate other technology such as cameras tunnel sensors and drones etc..

A wall is more of a deterrent and a way to discourage and slow people down when border security can't be everyplace at once.

Saying a wall is useless because someone can defeat it is like saying locking your doors is useless because someone could knock it down or pick the locks
