Walls which can be scaled have nothing to do with doors. Or can your house be entered by somehow climbing over its doors?

It was a campaign promise. I realize we've had presidents recently who reneged on their promises such as closing Gitmo but this one is at least trying.

Apparently their homes don't have roofs.

IF that's the case you'll surely have no problem providing links showing the majority of those actually living near and working to secure the border believe we need and would benefit from a continuous wall along the border.

Go for it!

“The fact is that if we don’t have barriers, walls — call them what you want — but if we don’t have very strong barriers, where people cannot any longer drive right across — they have unbelievable vehicles. They make a lot of money. They have the best vehicles you can buy. They have stronger, bigger, and faster vehicles than our police have, and than ICE has, and than Border Patrol has. So they’re pretty good at that. They have areas that they go to. It’s like a highway. And we have to close them up. And if we don’t close them up, you’re all kidding yourselves.”

Or maybe you can show us where your president said exactly what the person you quoted said....

Lets wait....
What “unbelievable“ vehicles?
What “highway?”

If what he says is true, why hasn’t he/Homeland addressed this?
Why don’t our police/ICE/BP have better vehicles?

Heck, my local police department has military grade equipment rolling around our suburban streets almost a thousand miles from the southern border.

So why the deficiencies in these departments?

I know you are trying to use this as reasons to promote the wall, but all this sounds like to me is an admission that two years into his presidency he hasn’t addressed any real solvable issues.

There may be some truth to having a political win, but, we all know that actually doing something about the real drug and illegal immigrant problems in the U.S. will be a plus. The left has nothing to offer except sanctuary cities, free health care for the world, hateful rhetoric and opposition to issues they used to support.

Likewise, it's painfully obvious to everyone that the only reason the left hatefully opposes every single Trump proposal ... is to deny him any semblance of political success. They are desperate to build some type of political capital for 2020 by creating an empty-suit impression of 'governing' or actually caring about American citizens.

The wall is a passive barrier that is breech-able on it's own. It needs some sort of active counter measure for it to be a real deterrent, like a guard tower ever so many meters (DMZ in N/S Korea), land mines, electrified perimeter, traps. If no one is watching every square mile it's useless, they'll cut it out as shown, dig under it or use it as a climbing wall for exercise.

How is it that Area 51 had no wall and it was so closely guarded. You walk close to the out perimeter and armed guards show up to turn you away. People had to climb nearby mountains to get a glimpse and when they found out about that they made the perimeter even wide to encompass said near by mountain.

Who said that just having a Wall is good enough to completely secure the U.S.-Mexico border?

This is a red herring.
