Young Brits aren't drinking the nationalist Kool Aid anymore, good on them. Get paid garbage to go to a foreign country, murder brown people, and then die a horrendously violent death for the economic and political betterment of some rich jerk in London. Not much incentive really.
British propaganda used to be so good that Hitler was envious, this sucks. Why do they need an army anyways? the US will go along any war against Britain anyways.
It's just some London based advertising company advert.
In terms of the British Army, yes they want computer programmes, signals, engineers etc.
The recruitment company in charge of British Army recruitment has been widely criticised, and the Ministry of Defence is looking at taking recruitment back in house.
Private recruitment company Capita has been so poor according to media reports and recruits have been waiting for over a year in some cases, and have by that time found other careers or lost interest, which is disgusting and one of the reasons why they will not be renewing any contract with the company. The adsverts have also been widely criticised.
As for British Army training, it's quite long and tough, for instance the basic Combat Infantry Course is 28 weeks long ar at The Infantry Training Centre, it is 30 weeks for Guardsmen and for the Parachute Regiment. The Royal Marines Basic training is 32 weeks or 15 months for Officers.
