Liberals in Congress are for the status quo because they are fools...but if Al Gore had won the presidency, we wouldn’t have went to Iraq and I doubt Afghanistan would’ve become the entrenched cluster**** that it’s become over nearly two decades.
I don’t care who you know or work with. You were never a member of the institution so you really can’t speak accurately about service members and their politics. You’re just giving a fictionalized account based on your preconceived notions because you want conservatives to look good.
It’s bunk. The average conservative is neither courageous nor selfless.
Of course, you don't know this. Maybe not Iraq, but after 9/11 it's not hard to believe that there would be no military campaign in Afghanistan.

Funny how the same side that was associated with the peace movement of the 60s is now so actively promoting military intervention, and the sacrifice of American lives, all around the world.
JFK pulled that stunt over the "missile gap" and Quemoy and Matsu.
You will not get many responses in this thread, because most liberal citizens do not approve of our military actions. When you see protests across the country against our wars, it is always liberal citizens.
The difference you are seeing is in politicians vs citizens which is why all politicians are the same.
I think we need to pull all our bases back and quit meddling in other countries affairs.
Politicians on the take on the other hand have different ideas.
You would have better luck in attacking the defense sector lobbyists than politicians if you want to see real change....

Libertarians are the only ones who have been consistently anti-war. The left used to be, but that kind of went out the window with Obama.
I truly wish people cared more about war than political correctness and identity politics. It's so much more important than the things they're complaining about with Trump.

Another example is Occupy Wall Street.
The "Dems" were in power and yet it proved, the politicians were more beholden to the banksters than the voters when noone high up in the finance sector was punished.
