Judge Michael Toomin blasted State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s handling of the prosecution, saying her botched decision to appoint her top deputy to prosecute Smollett after recusing herself invalidated the case from start to finish.
The rare move to appoint a special prosecutor marks the first step in what promises to be a full-blown probe of how Foxx’s office made the controversial decision to drop the disorderly conduct charges against Smollett just weeks after he was indicted.
It also raised the specter that Smollett could be charged all over again for what Chicago police determined to be a staged attack he orchestrated on himself because of dissatisfaction over his pay on the Fox series.
Personally, I'm thrilled. I hope Foxx is canned and disbarred along with anyone in her office who went along with her charade. Then they can go after Smollett and prosecute him the way they've prosecuted average citizens.

There's another case where a woman filed a false report like Smollett and Foxx's office has charged her with a felony. Her argument is why isn't she being treated equally under the law like Smollett was treated. AND this is why the courts are now being forced to look into it again.
Foxx has made a huge mess that's going to have to be cleaned up, or the DA's office can't prosecute crimes.
Kamala is dirty all the way through. I can't believe anyone would vote for this witch.
