In this case the Chicago police told us it was true that Smollett was attacked and actually fought back against media claims the attack may have been a hoax.

His bigger problem will be with Federal authorities if they have evidence he sent himself the threatening letter with the fake white powder. That had to take a lot of man hours, a haze mat team.

His troubles are just now starting. If it was just the false report with the CPD he might get probation. I see jail time for this pretty boy who will be very popular behind bars.

His Felony should be considered a hate crime.

He better get jail time.

If this was anybody else -- meaning not a celebrity with cash.....there would be jail time.

But I fear he needs some mental health attention more than anything. He is not right in the head to do all of this. So wrong.

Even though I don't agree with the hate crime designation as a whole, if we're (as a society) going to have them, this is a case that definitely should be designated as a hate crime.

This whole debacle has been super interesting to me from the get-go.

Congrats Jussie, you just added massive power to every inbred Klan lover and skin head out there. Great job!

The thing that struck me as odd (from the very beginning) was when they said they found the rope still around his neck. I would think an attack victim would immediately remove that from their neck.(I know I would). It would now be in my hand as I called the police. (Now, unless it was tied in such a way that it could not be removed).

Woke up to the good news of his arrest, I wonder where all the Hollywood Stars that were so public with their support of him in the beginning are now?

Honestly, they're all in a perpetual state of shock that started when Hillary lost and Trump won.

It's going on year 3 of their PTSD.

There were so many oddities from the get go......that rope, the unwillingness to share the phone with officers, the late night walk for a subway sandwich....etc. All too odd.

They’re tripping over themselves to delete their tweets.

They need to lock him up for all 3 years, no bail or early release. He intentionally tried to divide America further by “weaponzing” his race and sexual orientation for personal gain and wasted police resources.
