I was out and around today. 100's of people of all ages. Not a single one was talking about Trump. Not a single one about abortion. Not a single one about a wall or an emergency.
They were of endless "diversity" in terms of age, ethnic background, etc.
All playing, working, eating or traveling together.
ONLY from hate radio, TV or Blogs could one get the ideas expressed by some here. If the cross-section I saw (in airports, eateries, parks, etc.) is American (and I think it is), the crazies are dying out.
Some white states will eventually secede. We won’t be able to support the garbage sneaking across the border without accepting high taxes and a lower standard of living.
Look in the mirror. Republicans want to fundamentally transform America as well; into a white Christian nationalist theocracy.
The country isn't lost provided our system can last another 20 years so that the power can pass from the current dominant generation (baby boomers) to Millennials.
And America has always changed throughout history. Many conservative think that America should ALWAYS AND FOREVER be exactly what it was in 1955. 1955 was a very different world from 1895, just like today is very different from 1955. Stop being so fearful of the future. If people would just turn off Fox News maybe they'd stop being so paranoid about everything.
Republicans who think like that are only being taken as insane jokers, such as Pat Robertson. It's hard for me to think of any more of them, either, because, I myself don't take them seriously, or they're not on the news much. The news and opinion givers on Fox News are much more insane over President Trump.
It IS surreal that the ACLU is suing our president to prevent him from impeding illegal immigration.
