Human trafficking and drugs come through legal points of entry. So a wall wouldn't do any good.
How do you know what comes thru? Do you have cameras there and see all that comes across? Or are you parroting a talking point? Theres no way for anyone to know what comes over our borders except at secured points of entry so anyone saying otherwise is full of it.
If we had not overthrown several of the democratically elected governments in central America and installed dictators, those immigrants might stay home.

But liberals don't want a wall on the most porous areas of the border to prevent illegal entry in the first place. Last time the GOP introduced an e-verify bill the Democrats voted it down. So you're wrong about it being conservatives that won't back e-verify.
Humane treatment to liberals is allowing anyone who wants to come here for a better life to be able to do so even if they first enter our country illegally. No, illegals should not be given work permits. We have annual quotas for legal immigration based on our ability to provide them with jobs and resources without it negatively impacting our own citizens. Illegal immigration negates those sane quotas.
You're absolutely right. I cannot for the life of me comprehend this embrace of illegal immigration by the left (from both Democrats and establishment Republicans). Its all about the check (in the case of establishment Republicans) or the vote (in the case of Democrats) and is sickening.
Just because they oppose the faux national emergency doesn't mean they are embracing illegal immigration. Wish this talking point would die on the vine, but it won't. Nobody wants open borders and illegal immigration.
The government gives statistics on this all the time and Trump was recently bragging about it.
