According the government, illegals and drugs crossing are at their lowest point in years. So it is not an emergency.
The only emergency is that little Donnie is butt hurt.

Yeah your right there is n o human smuggling or drug muling anywhere else on the border except legal points of entry.
The 11+ million illegals all entered at legal points of entry.

I will say this. Trumps national emergency is just as valid as the 13 National emergencies that Obama declared. Meaning none of them were really national emergencies.

They transport drugs through legal points. How many trucks go through illegal points of entry. Individuals yes. But individuals don’t have all these young girls in tow nor do they have drugs worth hundreds of thousands of dollars on them.

What? No one wants that. We are wasting Congress' time, wasting the courts' time, and just plain wasting time by arguing over a wall when there are far better methods of stopping illegals.

Such as? Walls have been shown to be very effective, with Israel being a prime example. And even where we have walls at our southern border, illegal border crossings are essentially zero at those locations.

They are just looking for a better life, away from crime in their country and better opportunities. They take menial jobs here and work hard. And these are jobs Americans don’t want to do especially farming. We need them

Never before have drugs like heroin, been so readily and easily available in every city and state in the country!

They keep flowing in and reaching their destinations! The consistency is incredible.

Look, I don't question the motivations of most of the illegal immigrant population. In fact, in many ways, what they are trying to do in terms of making a better life for themselves/family is beyond admirable. But, apart from the fact that it makes sense to know who is coming into our country, we have plenty of US citizens who are struggling to get to by. The presence of illegal immigration hurts the job prospects for US citizens, as they are often willing to work for less than what a US worker would accept (and illegal immigrants aren't just picking apples and grapes, but are working in food service, hospitality, construction, and other jobs), which leaves US workers at a sharp disadvantage. Also, illegal immigrants are less likely to complain about poor working conditions (after all, they fear being deported), which further makes them more attractive workers than US citizens in many cases. But that's nothing to celebrate as it leads to greater exploitation of workers by greedy employers.

My first concern is for Americans who are struggling to get by and who have every right to be in this country, not for those who are illegally present and have no right to be here.

As for farm labor, most farming is done via machine today; hence, while a couple of decades ago 6% of the workforce in this country worked on farms, that is down to 2% today: https://amgreatness.com/2018/01/13/n...l-immigration/ More importantly, the great majority of workers in the farming system in this country are NOT illegal immigrants (illegals only account for 26% of farming workers in this country), while a majority of farming workers are US citizens: Occupations of unauthorized immigrant workers This destroys the narrative that Americans won't work in farming. They can and they do work in farming . . . hell, it wouldn't shock me if illegal immigrants are a reason why the percentage of Americans working in farming isn't even higher.

If both Housed confirm the bill—which takes away Trump’s use of the executive power to create an emergency he can steal funds to back—
Then ONE bill which stops him from stealing money from the Defense budget goes to his desk
IF he signed it—he would prevent himself from being an idiot and committing a Constitutional foul
He will veto the bill—keeping his “power” intact, allowing him to appropriate the monies, and be sued until the Supreme Court decides if building the Border Wall as Trump envisions is really the “emergency” Congress had in mind when it passed that provision for emergency appropriation by the Executive in first place...

Trump has no “self-edit” button
Of course he would not sign the bill
If he doesn’t sign it—then it would go into effect after short time

Ever see the HBO series “The Wire”?
You won’t stop drugs being imported into this country by building a border wall
That is a farce...
