Any way people want to spin this, this was excessive force by that one cop. Pepper spraying him in the face was one thing, then grabbing him and slamming him with force onto the pavement, repeatedly shoving his face onto the cement, and then punching him, way over the top.
Over the weekend, a video has gone viral showing three sheriffs deputies in Broward County, Florida, arresting and beating a black teenager. In the video, the officers are seen arresting one teen, while surrounded by a crowd of backpack-wearing onlookers, when suddenly one officer grabs another, identified since as a 15-year-old named Lucca, throwing him to the ground and slamming his head into the pavement as two other officers jump on the boy.
A 15 year old kid yelling at deputies and maybe getting a little too close scared those deputies into initiating force against that kid? Seriously?
Deplorable actions on the part of the deputies, you know, the ones who are supposed to be the responsible adults. I'm 100% certain those deputies would be demanding I face felony charges if I did something like they did, to that 15 year old boy, to one or more of their family members, especially if it was their 15 year old child. When PD or SO thinks they are above the people they serve, that they'll never be held accountable for their actions as long as they claim they were askeerd, people like me will never lift a finger to assist them nor will we ever support them.
Why do I make such broad characterizations of PD and SO? Because there were plenty other deputies there who could and should have demanded the abuse stop. But no... that thin blue line, the line separating law enforcement from everyone else, matters more to them than integrity and morality.
I hope every deputy involved who either acted against that teen or those who stood by and did nothing get convicted and are forced to serve their sentence in general population where their lives will be slowly and painfully snuffed out.
But then again, that's just MY opinion, for what it's worth.

Yes, cause you have a crowd around you....and no 15 year old has ever killed anyone with a gun....EVER.....
Yeah, because when I see someone getting arrested I always go over to them in a confrontational manner and expect nothing to happen.
It was the police officer that had to go over to the kid.
