How 'brave' of them to take a stand.

Meanwhile, kudos to the Baylor women's basketball team, who WILL attend a ceremony with Trump involved!

The University of Virginia men's basketball team will not be celebrating its national championship with President Donald Trump at the White House, per a statement from the head coach released Friday.

Head coach Tony Bennett said the team has "received inquiries about a visit to the White House" but will be declining an invitation because several players are pursuing opportunities beyond their time at UVA.

Makes sense to me. Blessing the WH from the scene of the KKK rallies that Trump said had Good People...is perhaps not a wise move.

They don't deserve the invite. Their championship was rigged.

Well, to them it’s right in their backyard so it wouldn’t be a cool trip, just a day out. The Baylor girls team gets to go to DC on a fun trip. I don’t understand why people don’t go no matter who the president is. That’s a once in a lifetime experience for most of them.

The poisonous politics of the American left rears its ugly head again.

I will never understand why anyone would turn down a trip to the WH.

I've traveled to many foreign countries but have never been to Washington DC and will likely never go now. I had many chances to see our capital and always put it off to another time, another time, another time. I wish I had taken one of those opportunities.
