Meanwhile, kudos to the Baylor women's basketball team, who WILL attend a ceremony with Trump involved!

Maybe they just can't 'stomach' re-heated fast food burgers that weren't too good the first time around. Listening to a ME! ME! ME! compulsive liar while doing so would add little to the appeal.

Meeting Trump would be an insult to their fellow residents of Charlottesville, home to UVA.

I've been at least a half dozen times - the way to do it today is by staying in an airbnb.
Last trip I stayed 1/2 block from the subway line in a nice apartment for $100 a night on Capitol Hill in a great neighborhood .... no need for a car to mess with. I love Cherry Blossom time, but you have to plan it way in advance ... things book up fast. My favorite area is the Eastern Market - best place to stay and very convenient to everything.

It's amazing that anyone would cut off their nose just to spite their face because they disagree politically with the resident in the Oval Office. I bet every one of those fools posted all over Social Media that they REFUSE to be in the presence of the President and REFUSED a White House invitation.

Any future employer will take that sort of foolishness into consideration ..... I know I would.
This is not the sort of mentality that will ever make a good employee.

So true. The entire visit would be nothing but a nonstop eye roll. Nothing to be gained from that.

Yeah because there are no Trump voters who live in C'ville or attend UVA because you say so.

The players were not even necessarily responsible for this decision. You are ignoring what took place in Charlottesville prior to them winning the national championship, as well as Trump's response to it. This decision was likely a collaboration of the coaches, players, and the school administration.

Trump's response was to condemn the neo Nazis and white supremacists but leftwing hacks like you assert the exact opposite to race bait.

“I am not talking about neo-Nazis and white nationalist because they should be condemned totally,” Trump after Charlottesville

Sports, even on the college level is now politicized by DEMOCRATS because they have been overtaken by Progressives (fascists).
