Do you think the Ohio lawmakers give two hoots about her, period? All they care about is the fetus. Never has that been more apparent than this draconian bill that would force an 11 year old child to beg not to be forced to give birth.
Not even sure about that, I think all most of them care about is getting the votes of people who believe that way. Curious how that goes when it's their own daughter, wife or mistress.
Early abortions abort embryos, not fetuses. The abortionist uses dismemberment.
Abortion pills interfere with the zygote implanting into the uterine wall.
No. Emergency contraception may interfere (not always, sometimes it stops the meeting of the sperm and egg) with the zygote implanting into the uterine wall. The "abortion pill (s)" is used very early in pregnancy, 10 weeks or less after first day of LMP. They are not the same.
Take note of the history of modern humans...you will find millions of stories of men raping and impregnating "minors" from the first recorded history up until now.
The question was really to understand a late term healthy baby scenario. We hear that there are times when a baby must be killed for the health of the mother. Sure there are times a pregnancy must be terminated, but what is a situation that requires an abortion as opposed to a c-section in late term maternal health reasons?
And again. Talk to an OB. Take it up with ACOG. Think about it. Do you honestly think women in mid to late pregnancy have simply changed their minds and their OBs just throw up their hands and say, "Sure! Let's just tear this fetus apart!"? Where did you go to medical school? When did you perform your last c-section? Why a c-section? Why not an induction? Oh right. I forgot. Y'all went to the Jerry Falwell School of Medicine.
I wish my fellow conservatives were as passionate about punishing criminals such as rapists as they are about outlawing abortion. One of the worst things about this era is nobody hates criminals anymore like they did in the 90s.
Doesn't really matter if it's not a Left leaning Democrat area, as it's Leftist Judges and Sanctuary city Supporters that are behind catch and release policy. And they are all over the country.
On this - yes it is a stretch. Masillon OH is not close to the border and it is not common that we have a lot of "illegal" immigrants in Ohio period. The man more than likely is a legal resident with a visa. That does make a difference IMO even though on the right it seems that you often like to claim that all immigrants now are bad and not just the "illegals." But companies sponsor these workers in that part of OH. They have horrible working conditions that many Ohioans do not want to subject themselves to and so they go out and get people from S. America to come work in that part of the state.

This was about my post regarding she could go to Michigan. I'll note that this law has not went into effect yet here in OH and I'm hoping the girl has already had an abortion. It doesn't go into effect until July (the "heartbeat bill") and even that deadline will be extended because it is already being challenged. However we only have a handful of clinics left in OH because of previous discriminatory laws that have forced a majority of them out of business.
On going to MI, I mentioned that I live 10 minutes from MI. Where this girl lives is not as close (Massillon is in eastern Ohio, south of Cleveland) and it would be an expensive journey for her family, who are probably poor visa factory workers themselves.
They probably live closer to PA and I'm not sure of PA's abortion laws but I've read that they are very restrictive as well. If this girl was forced to go to MI, she and her guardian would have to stay there at least 2-3 days in order to get an abortion performed because MI like all other states have "waiting periods" and all these "consent" processes/procedures to where she could not just go and get it done the same day. These processes/procedures are designed to place burdens on women/families seeking abortion services.
An 11-12 year old girl is not capable of comprehending. Hell some women in this forum aren’t capable and they’re far older. The fact you’re even justifying forcing a girl that age to have the baby is extremely disturbing.
Agreed. This is why America is so screwed.
We actually have idiots out there who believe an 11 year old should be a mother.
Right? Talk to an actual OB/GYN. Speak with someone from ACOG. InformedConsent, you are arguing with idiots.
What you and IC have it backwards. The doctor does not have to put their name to anything affirming that the pregnancy won't be a risk to the mother. The pregnancy can be a risk, the Ohio legislature doesn't care. The only exception is if the abortion is done to prevent death to the pregnant woman or prevent a serious risk of the substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman.
So yeah there are probably idiots here but I don't think that you realize who they are.
MISTER Retired, you know nothing about the bond between a mother and a child. Not a damn thing. Few if any women will bond with the spawn of a man who brutally, forcibly raped her. Every time she looks at that kid she will remember the brutality and fear and pain and suffering she endured which brought it into the world.
No, MISTER Retired, you do not speak for a single woman anywhere, so stop pretending you do.
That offspring would also be half hers too!
Even if she doesnt want to acknowledge that, other people and couples out there would GLADLY take that child and raise it.

And she should risk her health and life, she should take on all the expenses of pregnancy, so give other people a child? And some, not all, would pause regarding the child of a rapist. Plus, some, not all, might treat the child of a rapist differently than a child of a consensual relationship. Even with the best of intentions.
