It was all fun and games until it hits WallyWorld. Shake it off, you can cover the added costs with all that cash you're saving from Trump's tax cuts, right? Right?

Unfortunately you need to incur some short term pain for long term goals. Several administrations have dug a deep hole in our economy by letting us be reliant on China. That is not sustainable long term so we need to pull of the band aid even though it might sting for a few minutes.

"Walmart Chief Financial Officer Brett Biggs said in an interview that higher tariffs will result in increased prices for consumers. He said the company will seek to ease the pain, in part by trying to obtain products from different countries and working with suppliers’ “costs structures to manage higher tariffs.” "

excellent.

The US is not in any position to put pressure on China...remember how much US debt China owns!

They can turn the tables on us anytime they like.

IIRC, Trump bragged about how the tariffs would result in businesses turning to U.S. sources. Don't recall anything about looking to third world countries to make things cheaper than China.

Perhaps I missed that tweet.

Anyone here old enough to remember when Walmart used to brag about its Made in U.S.A. program?

And how exactly can they "turn the tables" on their largest export market?
