Not just the left. It seems all of these politicians are funded by big insurance companies to put laws in place that us people have to buy the insurance. It's all a money game.

I find it interesting that libs want to out more money on the pockets of major corporations, since this will not protect anyone, has nothing to do violent crimes, gun accidents are almost negligible.

So your choice would be to own and use guns without any insurance coverage? I guess then you'd be free to give up all your assets, if you were successfully sued for something involving those guns. Hint: it's for your own protection and for the protection of anyone who might be injured if someone took your guns and used them maliciously.

Seems quite reasonable to me. Responsibility. Skin in the game. All that.

While we are at it require the same for your cutlery.

No one is arguing that its not a good idea to have insurance, the point is that the State has no right to force you to do it to exercise a constitutional right. It's a good idea for everybody to have a valid i.d. but the left screams bloody murder if the right says it should be required to vote. But its like homeowners insurance, if you own your home outright you don't need to get it. But don't come crying if your house burns down.

New York Senate Bill Would Require $1 Million Liability Insurance Policy for Gun Owners
'we don't want to take your guns away"...... you can keep your guns if you like your guns!

goal to achieve an academic theory of no guns, no gun violence..... recipe for instant felons. turn lead into gold, turn law abiding citizens into criminals with the stroke of a pen.

NY state must separate from NYC.

Don't think NJ will not be next to catch the virulent liberal anti gun flu with the likes of booker and murphy..

In addition to pricing out of the market the poor people that the elites are so terrified of, this will have the effect of creating a gun registry when the State forces the insurance companies to turn over lists of who took out policies.

Correct, the federal Govt CANNOT force you to 'buy' anything, especially when its involving a constitutional right.

My right would be to purchase a product of my own free will rather than through the use of extortion.

Extortion- noun
the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.
And if someone steals my gun,my car, my tire iron, my golf clubs,my baseball bat, etc. and does something maliciously with it/them, its not on me, its on the perp.
And for you, I wish the freedom to purchase a victimhood policy for your own protection.
