They aren't likely Republicans. They likely don't vote at all. My point is that putting a city in Republican rule isn't going to stop violence and gang problems. It doesn't really matter what political party is in charge.

There might be crazy policies not to follow, but some things can't be solved by R or D. People with severe anger issues, can't solve that with D or R. Some persons in North Omaha keep joining gangs despite the risk of going to prison. Oklahoma and Louisiana have the highest percentage of its civilian populations in prison. Has not stopped young males in the inner cities of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City from joining gangs.
The OP should really look at crime stats for South Bend, for say, the last 20 years, and then come back. They always fluctuate, usually with 2-3 years with higher murder rates, followed by a year or two of lower rates. This has nothing to do with Mayor Pete.
