A very good reason why citizens not only have a right to be armed but a reason they need to armed with military weapons and organized into local militias that will have a chance at preventing some demonic federal over government from establishing a totalitarian Amerika.
Or are we already too late.
That was the reason for drafted armies, gun control debate aside. A professional army , as we see with contractors, is a step in the wrong direction. Ironically it was a German who informed me of this many years ago. He told me about Silvaner which he preffered over Riesling as well. What a guy.
A civil war ended slavery, I don't see too many people complaining about that...
Violence should always be a last resort, but how many people do you think would resist if someone (or a machine) was sent to get them...what types of people do you think would willingly go along?
It took the south close to 100 years to recover economically from the civil war, and some would say that it still hasn't completely recovered. And remember--the south decided to secede from the union over state rights and slavery, and not vice versa.
