The O.P. has earned my "Most inane post ever" award on CD forums.

The fact the O.P. states "It had double the 'oomph' of the previous 4.5 weapon." shows you how clueless he/she is. There is no 'oomph' rating for handgun calibers. The 9mm has a greater velocity whilst the .45ACP has a greater amount of energy. If you hit something you would benefit more from energy than velocity. And of course there was no "Previous 4.5 weapon".

LOL Yup. On the other hand, there are few things more amusing than gun grabbers' (today it's the 9mm, tomorrow it's...) droning on about guns--about which they always prove they know nothing.

Travis, instead of banning this or that ammo or firearm, why don't we just make it illegal to use firearms against other people except in self-defense.

Extremely disappointing poll results thus far. As is so often the case, I am the only vote who seems to care....
I think that it would be worth a try to just ban anything and everything that someone could use to cause death or serious bodily injury to anyone for any reason whatsoever, accidental or otherwise.

Starting with:

(1) Vehicles

(2) Flammable liquids

(3) Matches, lighters and anything that can be used to start a fire

(4) Household chemicals

(5) Pipes, bats, golf clubs, hammers, wrenches, axe handles, anything that can be used as a blunt instrument

(6) Kitchen utensils

(7) Alcoholic beverages (Oh wait, we tried that one, how well did that work out?)**

(8) Rope

(9) Electrical cords and wire

**Harmful use of alcohol kills more than 3 million people each ...
https://www.who.int/news-room/detail...st-of-them-men
Of all deaths attributable to alcohol, 28% were due to injuries, such as those from traffic crashes, self-harm and interpersonal violence; 21% due to digestive disorders; 19% due to cardiovascular diseases, and the remainder due to infectious diseases, cancers, mental disorders and other health conditions.
If you really are interested in saving lives, I think that you've got your priorities all wrong.

Besides the Supreme Court has already ruled that: "The 2nd Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding."--- Antonin Scalia (Heller vs DC) www.law.cornell.edu/suplt Obviously that too would apply to the ammunition that is used in them as a gun would be useless except to club someone over the head with it. But the ban on blunt instruments would probably apply.

What say you? Am I the only one who seems to care?

Ooo baby remember the Happyland Fire in 1997? When you absolutely positively have to kill every emm effer in the room, 87 to be exact with what was a dollars worth of gasoline, a container, and a match?

That's 28 more than what Paddock killed from his hotel room, firing into a crowd of thousands with a bunch of AR 15's equipped with bump stocks and God only knows how much ammunition?

I voted no, do nothing because I care. The U.S. Military didn't adopt the 9mm because it is more powerful than the .45 (it isn't) they adopted it mainly because of N.A.T.O. from what I remember.

I say that it's time to end the carnage, and for Congress to ban the 9mm. What do you think?

Ummmm....huh? Wow are you seriously Hollywooded. The 9mm is "high powered" you say? A "fearsome weapon?" LMAO. It's always ...entertaining..when gun o phobics post this ignorant nonsense. Double the oomph of the previous 4.5 weapon. I'm assuming you are trying to refer to the .45 ACP which by the way is far superior to the 9mm. The 9mm is often called a mouse gun in certain circles. Whoda thunk. A .45 is a "kinder gentler" round than a 9mm.

This is truly hilarious. The military switched to the 9mm to standardize with NATO. Not because it is such a powerhouse. Special Operations guys very often use .45s rather than 9s because they want their targets to go down and stay down.

Seriously? You actually believe this nonsense you put up here? I'm having trouble believing that it's not satire.

What 4.5 weapon was half as powerful as the 9 mm?

I can't believe how many people took this obvious sarcasm/troll thread seriously.
Me, I prefer 10mm. I like round numbers.
