Prediction before long Californians you’re going to see $10 a gallon. I hope you know how to ride a bike.

California is poised to charge the highest taxes and fees on gas in the country when an increase kicks in July 1, but officials say the state is still billions of dollars short of what’s needed to properly fix the roads and are considering additional charges.

Ha!! That it is... The sad thing is that these Californians will leave California and pollute other nearby States with their crazy ideals that never produces any positive/meaningful results.

I can never figure this out, but these people will flee their own State and once they embed themselves in another State, like Washington State, they will pull all the same stunts that caused them to leave California in the first place... Like raising the taxes on everything to fund all the "feel good" ideals that never work.

I know it will never happen, but I wish California would break off from the Union and become their own Country... They say they can, so why stop them?

They still aren't the highest. PA has the highest gasoline tax. Still, you have to be nuts to stay in a state that has such a sky high tax burden as CA.

PA has high taxes but the price of the gas is still much more in California, almost a full dollar more.

True, but that's do to other market forces, and other government insanity. 87UL is still around $2.79 plus or minus a few cents in S.E. PA (Philly burbs). I think they are paying around $4.00 in many parts of CA.
