If a person objected to McConnell, a smarter solution would be for you to walk over, politely say something scathing, and then return to finish your dinner, leaving him feeling uncomfortable by your presence.

I was referring to the adults who pardon or condone disruptive behavior in any form. They think the world revolves around them. That their feelings and needs are all that matter. To hell with everyone else in the restaurant.

Children behave like children, but should not be allowed to be maniacs in public places. Their parents are supposed to teach them how to behave....

Playgrounds are for running around. Your own yard is for running around. Not a restaurant or a store. Some parents either turn a blind eye to such bad behavior, or just condone it.

No the smart solution would be to mind your own business, finish your meal and leave. Just as you would prefer anyone who doesn't like you do.

No wonder why so many foreigners think that Americans are rude, classless and petty.

That is not a smart solution by any means. The smart solution would be to mind your own business, eat your meal and leave like you normally would.

I would rep you if I could. Common sense dictates that the smart thing to do is to simply mind your own business. No need for drama or insults.

Call me crazy, but when I am eating in the same restaurant as someone I don’t like, I just go on with my meal as if they weren’t even there.

Would you lose your appetite if McConnell walked into a restaurant where you were eating?
Is this really a serious question? People actually think like this?
