Guy wants to lead and he's afraid of being with HALF of humanity? That's one of the most childish, ridiculous thing I've ever heard. What a coward.

Very smart. If he gets elected then she will likely say he assaulted her on the campaign trail. That’s probably CNNs end game here.

I don't even understand why this is an issue or who made it an issue. How often is a politician alone with ANY reporter? That seems like a useful boundary so as not to be misquoted or misunderstood at all.

The false accusation stuff is the same ol same ol smoke and mirrors.

He's protecting himself from false accusation. Doesn't want to be Kavanaughed.

Ridiculous. He can’t control himself? Sounds like something from Saudi Arabia.

Who says he can't control himself (where are guys getting this from? )? He just wants to avoid false accusations. Men can't be too careful in the age of MeToo.

Total BS.......
The business world? I worked for a Fortune 500 corp for 28 years. It was their policy since at least 2000 for males not to conduct 1 on 1 interviews or confrontations with female employees.

That was to protect the company and the male as well as the female.

I Never violated that policy. I always had my one up leader in the room when confronting a female for job performance. I never interviewed females one on one either. The policy is there to protect us.

In today's climate where all it takes is an accusation to destroy someone's reputation and credibility, you are a fool not to protect yourself.

It isn't about control, it's all about protecting himself from false accusations.

I don’t blame him one bit. Sexual impropriety claims have been weaponized by many women and are being used against men in an extremely unsavory way. It’s sad because there is a very real problem of sexual harassment out there that women deal with every day.

If I was a professional man in a high-profile career I too would be very careful about situations and people I place myself with. A guy on the internet calling one a coward for being cautious should not deter anyone from protecting themselves.

Of course it's his fault. He's the one who made the rule. He's the one who's damaging the professional reputation of a reporter.

Exactly. It's insulting to a female reporter to have to "bring" anyone, assuming the female reporter can't handle the job. It's limiting the stories the female reporter can cover, and limiting how she does her job.

If you're that paranoid, tape the interactions. It's 2019. Plenty of cheap recording devices.
Exactly. Thank you.

It's all about control. It's about controlling the news media, it's about controlling women. Anyone would have to be bereft of their senses and of their sense if they can't see that.
