Plenty of kids who are illegal aliens have gotten expensive care at the taxpayers' expense. Both they and their parents need to be deported and sent a bill for all that care they got

In general I meant. And in these cases many didn't leave by the deadline, so yes, they were here illegally too.

Why don't you worry about Canada. Enjoy our country when you visit.

You're not even a citizen of this country yet you're lecturing me about my nation's politics?

You're correct---most of these Central Americans don't qualify for asylum. Besides, Mexico offered them all asylum in Mexico, even giving them jobs. If these people are so desperate, then they should have taken up Mexico's offer. They want the US because of all the freebies.
Absolutely. They're "benefit-shopping," and leftists are defending it even though it comes at the expense of Americans. Hey.....I just thought of a good slogan for Warren: "Americans last!"

And that Normstad (or whatever) is a Canadian?? He's got some nerve complaining about how awful our country is - and how OUR taxes should be allocated.

False. Last year is the first time since the 1980 Refugee act that Canada has resettled more refugees than the United States. You have told that lie more than once now.

One would also hope that we make them the priority, but we don't. When is the last time either of the major parties have made them a focus?

The fact remains we do have finite resources and costs are always a consideration. Neither you or anyone else can make a convincing argument that refugees deserve more or even equal attention than our own homeless.

How can you possibly justify taking in refugees when 600,000 US citizens are homeless? Refugees shouldn't even be a talking point or a consideration until we clean up our own problems.

Surely you can understand prioritizing?

Wrong. There IS an unskilled labor shortage:

I pay more taxes in the USA than I do in Canada, because of the way I've structured my situation. I don't have a vote, so I should be even MORE upset than those who do, right?

I'm not. I am a humanitarian, and all human being count. I don't like children in cages. I don't like children separated from their parents, the parents deported, and the children left behind. That is cruel. It is inhumane. My tax dollars pay for that, tax dollars I can't vote on.

So, I'm going to suggest I have even MORE skin in the game, and your darn rights I will espouse my perspectives.

If you’re not even an American citizen, but one of these Canadians that do nothing but clog South Florida even more than it already is while enjoying it, you realllllly should shut up.

Don’t step foot in my country while trying to lecture me on American politics when you’re a Canadian snowbird.

See above. I pay more taxes in the USA than in Canada, and can't vote how it is spent.
