You must have missed the part where he initially cancelled meetings in Poland around Labor Day weekend, but chose to spend hours of his time Stateside golfing. As others have repeatedly pointed out, the model he was referencing was days old. Aside from that, that model he keeps tweeting out shows a 5-10% chance of Alabama being hit, so he doesn't even know how to read the models in the first place. Furthermore, he has repeatedly expressed amazement the category 5 hurricanes even exist in the first place, even though he's seen FOUR of them during his own presidency. At least he hasn't tossed any paper towels at anyone this time, or blamed Bahamians for their misfortunes.
The hurricane force spin you've put into moving the goal posts is very, very sad.
We don't know for sure because the press is too busy trying to take down a duly elected president to do their job and find out exactly why there was conflicting info issued, among many other things.
You should stop with all the drama already. The press is trying to do no such thing, especially over something like this. You and only been saying this, and that's not the case here. You are putting everything you have into defending this man, you should be exhausted by now, defending someone with a serious credibility issue. At some point it begins to make you look bad.

It totally knocks your flimsy arguments that try to minimize Trump's poor handling of the situation (which are based on blaming the press for reporting the incident) to the ground.
You're essentially left with these defenses to excuse his behavior and none of them are valid:
A) Trump may make mistakes, but you LOVE the fact that he never relents or acknowledges his errors, because you like a strong leader who won't back down.
B) Trump lies, but so does everyone else, and at least you know he's lying constantly because it's so obvious
C) Trump is the only person who is able to "own the libs" regularly, and that's all that matters to you

Please explain how it's the press' fault that Trump golfed all weekend and relied on outdated forecast models to tweet out inaccurate information, and then when the NHC immediately corrected said misinformation, he doubled down by using a sharpie to retroactively create "proof" for his debunked claim? HOW??
They should just let it go that he lied/gaslighted? You're asking the press to ignore a glaring example of the POTUS acting completely unpresidential and completely petty, because....the press is bad?
