Politics in school must be the theme today.

Union County high school teacher reportedly told students VP Pence should be 'shot in the head'

A Union County high school teacher is under investigation after reportedly making threatening comments to a class of students, saying the vice president should be shot.

The Cuthbertson High School teacher called out VP Mike Pence while he was visiting NC, allegedly telling her students he should be "shot in the head."

The Union County Sheriff's Office says it's passed this information along to the Secret Service to investigate.

The teacher, who FOX 46 is not naming at this time, allegedly made the comments to students the same week the vice president was in town to campaign for congressional elect Dan Bishop.

...
Powers isn't going as far as asking for the teacher to be fired, but says she trusts the school board will take appropriate action.

“To just wish that kind of violence on anybody is just way out of bounds,” said Powers.

So... teacher identity protected... no one suggesting the teacher be removed...

Students get more scrutiny when they wear the wrong thing or support the "wrong" cause.

I see nothing wrong here.

Step 1: Investigate
Step 2: Depends what's found in step 1.

Teacher will get a pass on this, but cheerleaders who dare write the word "TRUMP" (as a verb) on a football banner get punished.

Well, maybe that seems to be the right thing to do but we are more than happy to prosecute in the press when it’s someone on the Right saying inappropriate things. Even if the media wouldn’t provide their identity (which they would), they would be dox’d. The school would place them on administrative leave while investigating. Their Facebook account would be thoroughly explored by the media and then the conclusion would be drawn that they were inspired by Trump’s dangerous rhetoric.

If it was enforced equally, I would agree.

Right...wear a shirt with an American flag on it and you will get suspended in some California schools. But advocate the shooting of a republican and you get a raise.
