What we are seeing today is so reminiscent of what we saw in 1972 and the Watergate investigations. I realize a lot of the posters on here were not even born then, or too young to remember, but I am old enough to have watched the whole thing unfold.

At first, it was a nothingburger, and people were lined up on both sides, some against Nixon and some saying it was just the Democrats out to get him. The GOP tried to turn a blind eye and defend him, until it became apparent that there was too much to ignore, and then they gave in.

That is what we are seeing now, and will continue to see as this Trump Gate thing unfolds. On here we are going to see the Trumpees saying "This is only second hand info, or this is nothing at all", while the left will be calling for impeachment. It is expected and normal. But, like Watergate, in time a lot of Trump supporters will begin to acknowledge that Trump crossed some very serious lines here and needs to go.

While Pence is no Prince, at least he will be able to ride out the rest of Trump's term without a fraction of the problems Trump has caused, and the country might begin to heal before the 2020 elections.

I just read the whole thing.

It's a very well written complaint. Not one that I would think was written by a low level person without legal counsel.

I'm also not seeing anything that may point to the whistleblower being partisan ... I'm assuming it's the actual identity of the whistleblower that lends the reporting to to him/her being partisan.

(Acting DNI Joseph Maguire testifying soon this morning ..)
Doesn't look good for tRump.

The "perfect phone call..."

Yep.

Sure.

I'm not a big fan of all the "everything"-gate things of recent times, but this all being called Stupid Watergate couldn't be more fitting.

You mean “any day know” that Trump was going to be removed from
Office and imprisoned for “Russian collusion”?

I don`t recall anyone saying that but the Mueller report did not exonerate Trump. You knew that right?

There is 1 year until the elections. Do you honestly believe that is enough time to impeach Trump and heal?? LOL... Best bet to get rid of Trump is elect a good, solid middle of the road kinda candidate and spend the next months campaigning for the future of our country. The last thing we need is a failed impeachment that in turns into a riled up base and 4 more years of Trump .

I read it to and its all contingent on the July 25 phone call that we've all heard about.

Sorry, Mr. Whistleblower (D), you lose.
