That's ridiculous. The person the President assigns to do the job should do the job.
First off the president shouldn't be sending anyone to a foreign country to do an investigation on corruption of his political opponent. Secondly it should be someone who is qualified and experienced from one of the intelligence agencies, and last but not least there should be some facts that a crime was committed.
Trump on transcript saying to Ukraine leader Zelenskly..."I would like for you to do us a favor" and prodded him to work with Barr/Giuliani while witholding a military package that congress approved?! Ouch...this looks very bad!
(Creating a separate thread because I think it deserves it's own comments)
I just read the whole thing.
It's a very well written complaint. Not one that I would think was written by a low level person without legal counsel.
I'm also not seeing anything that may point to the whistleblower being partisan ... I'm assuming it's the actual identity of the whistleblower that lends the reporting to to him/her being partisan.
(Acting DNI Joseph Maguire testifying soon this morning ..)
Opinion: Joe MaGuire is definitely no Mac MacGyver ! (sarcasm)

Joe MaGuire is a very honorable person stuck in a horrible situation, while I don’t agree with some of his decisions he certainly tried to do what is best.
You keep ignoring the assessment of the IG who found it credible and urgent. The IG who was appointed by Trump by the way so forget the deep state nonsense.

The irony of your first and third sentences!
The second sentence is just silly. There is nothing that the intelligence "should" be asked to do, ever. They are the President's servants. If he thinks someone else will do a better job or is simply more trustworthy, then that person is the one who "should" do it. Our intelligence agencies have their own agendas and are crooked as hell.

This is just flat ridiculous.
No, it's a basic fact. Congress cannot require the executive branch to do anything that is not spelled out in the Constitution. That's Constitution 101.
You keep pointing out to the same thing. The whistle blower is not trying to infer that they were there. He or she clearly says otherwise. The whistle blower talked to a dozen people if I read the report right and they all said similiar things.
Again, an investigation will clear things up.
By trying to cover up the phone call and the transcrpt, the president and his administration are not looking innocent in doing that
Exactly. The truth will out. If Trump did nothing wrong, a thorough investigation will uncover nothing. So he shouldn't be worried. And Trump supporters have no business screaming "waste of taxpayer funds!" With regards to him, he uses our tax money like his own no limit American Express card.
