The Senate should investigate the House Committee.

You Dems realize this is a Democrat behind all of this trying to give Joe Biden the heave-ho without having to say it out loud for fear of losing his voters, right? Now who would be trying to toss Biden without coming clean about it? Don't think it's Bernie. He wouldn't even talk about you know who's e-mails and didn't make much of a peep when she very disbelievingly won every stinking one of those Iowa coin tosses or when Donna Brazille gave her the debate question in advance of the debate. His bark is way bigger than his bite and frankly, I don't think he knows what's going on, either.

So which Democrat is trying to get Biden out of the race? Warren (wants to be the front runner but can't win the General without Biden voters so she doesn't want to pick on him), Clinton (wants to be crowned Mighty Mouse - here she comes to save the day) or Obama (really worried that Biden's blathering is going to have people looking too closely at what his administration was up to). Or does Biden have some info on the CIA that some former CIA head is afraid he'll spill? What made Pelosi jump so quickly? She only had to wait a day.
Impeachment Inquiry cannot even start, without a House of Rep, vote majority. Pelosi just made headlines, not history.
It is all about tell A story. Not about telling THE story. Propaganda 101

So the democrats can investigate Trump but Trump dare not look into the corrupt democrats. Typical. The democrats are rats and the White House needs to get the rats out.

Alright, let's ask you a question. Let's pretend for a minute that you are a dedicated government employee, working somewhat near the WH, and you hear some information that you feel is detrimental to the security of our country, and, at least borderline illegal. What would you do?

A) Nothing. Not your business, and you do not want to be exposed personally and take the heat, or...

B) Be a good American who is concerned that what you heard might cause national security problems, and, at the least, shows that the President of this country was committing an illegal, unethical act by injecting a foreign party into our election processes.

If American citizens had not outed Richard Nixon, we would never have knows about the depths of Nixons corruption. It takes courage to come forward, as this person has, because the country is so crazy right now you never know what nut job would try to take you or your family out.

We need to know his/her identity so we can investigate the political history. There is a 100% chance that this individual is a long-time DNC party hack. There is also a 100% chance that the "whistleblower's" lawyer works for or with the DNC. This political hackjob needs to be exposed.

Harder to address, though, is the other half of the story—something Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer spoke of in glee, in response to then-president-elect Trump’s criticism of U.S. intelligence agencies. “Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,†Schumer told MSNBC’s host Rachel Maddow.

Schumer wasn’t alone in warning of U.S. intelligence agencies’ penchant for politicized revenge. A little over a week later, Daniel Benjamin, who had served as the principal counterterrorism advisor for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, scripted the scenario for Politico Magazine, writing:

Leakers and whistleblowers won’t hesitate. What [former Deputy CIA Director] Morell and other intelligence veterans are too decorous to mention is that Trump’s treatment of his spies will also come back to bite him in the form of leaking and whistleblowing. The intelligence community doesn’t leak as much as the Pentagon or Congress, but when its reputation is at stake, it can do so to devastating effect.

After all, that's what this is all about.
Interesting. I understand that the USA basically now consists of two separate countries, one that supports republicans and one that supports democrats. Still, I am shocked that anyone, even the most staunch republican, does not believe that the president, in attempting to pressure the leader of another government to investigate his opponent, in the hope of winning the election, is not a direct threat to our democracy. This is outrageous. That anyone can pretend it isn't a major abuse of power is either in absolute denial or is incapable of distinguishing between right from wrong. I get that politicians are corrupt but, that everyday citizens are equally corrupt and willing to turn a blind eye to this is astonishing.

First of all, Trump doesn't need to investigate Biden. The Ukranians did that already and found nothing. And even if it wasn't illegal, which it is, Trump investigating Biden is a conflict of interest and an abuse of power. He stands to gain directly from finding something, anything, negative on the Democratic frontrunner in the race. And calling the Democrats corrupt is hypocrisy to the nth degree. We have never had a more corrupt president than Trump. It is a FACT that the Russians interfered with the 2016 election in an attempt to aid Donald Trump's campaign. Why he wasn't thrown out of office on that basis alone will forever remain a mystery to me.

My guess would be via a video link secured network connection, with face darkened/ blacked out and voice distorted.

Given the threats Trump and his supporters made, I would be very concerned for my safety too.

Since when are the Ukrainians the arbiter of whether a sitting VPOTUS (Joe Biden) and/or his son has/have violated US Law(s)?
