Denver Democrats build luxury new gender responsive jail facilities for women only while men will remain in squalor (statistics, regular)

Looks like Denver will offer some of the lavish jail conditions in the world with one condition, that the inmate is a female.

Men on the other hand would be punished with inhumane squalor judging by pictures of the facilities of the cities Smith Road facility.

Female inmates will get to live like celebrities, while Males get cruel and unusual punishment. But then again the Democrats want to fill the jails with males. That way rather then fathers paying the cost of raising their children, the state is paying every penny through welfare and they can justify their socialist tax increases.

According to your first link, crime in the city and county of Denver is down .6% in 2019 as compared to 2018. That's a start, but hardly a reason to stop renovating old jail facilities to meet the needs of the current prison population.

Your second link is from Westworld, a Denver weekly newspaper. In part the story states:

Most of Denver County Jail’s female inmates are housed in large pods in Building 21, which was designed as a traditional men's jail: urinals in the bathrooms, bunk beds. One of the deputies’ lawsuits alleges that the facility “is overcrowded, inadequately staffed and is unreasonably hazardous to deputies and prisoners alike. … Violent prisoners are mixed with non-violent prisoners. The behaviorally defiant are mixed with the behaviorally compliant. These conditions increase the hardships upon the female deputies who must protect both themselves and the prisoners under their charge.”

So moving female prisoners from a facility which "is overcrowded, inadequately staffed and is unreasonably hazardous to deputies and prisoners alike" means that female prisoners will get to live like celebrities??? Well, I suppose that this is what a misogynist repub would say. Gee, women prisoners are being moved to cells which don't have urinals. Next thing you know, female prisoners will be demanding tampons. Will this madness never cease?

Your last link was published in 2010 - almost 20 years ago. Old news which is no longer relevant. However, it does include a picture of a male prisoner living in "inhumane squalor." Looks like an inmate at a regular old jail facility to me. But murderers and rapists should be set free since they just can't wait to get out of jail so they can go get decent jobs and pay child support. You bet.
