Brexit was to the EU what South Carolina seceding from the Union in 1860. It's the first member of the club to say, "F it!! I quit!!" then take all their toys and go home.

The EU desperately needs the UK to suffer for their decision to leave. If the UK ends up experiencing more economic prosperity rather than less, then a lot of other members of the EU are going to start questioning whether it's wise to stay in the club. Italy and Spain have already been contemplating leaving themselves. If the French yellow-vests eventually get their way, France will also leave. The whole thing might just collapse like a house of cards and the EU is scrambling to keep that from happening. Their behavior might actually accelerate the EU's demise though.

Actually, they wanted to be more like the Soviet Union. Once they finish collapsing (it's already in motion) they will have fulfilled their destiny of becoming just like Angela Merkel's beloved Soviet Union.

France is the one who already effectively vetoed a "United States of Europe" idea even before Brexit, when they rejected the prior treaty.

Yeh I agree...
The United States was founded in order to gain freedom, declaring its Right came from God..

EU was founded to establish a new global world order and impose control over sovereign nations, member nations are expected to lower their ntl flags and kneel to the EU flag.

The UK joined a customs free union, not a political union,
but the political union was forced on them without voter consent.

The EU is terminally splintered, the WHO is on life support.

I agree, the french will get out too.

Merkel was director of youth propaganda for stassi, when she goes the EU is done in Germany.
But her job is done, she has destroyed Germany already. Mission accomplished.

The EU was in terminal decline even before C-19.
The UK is getting out at exactly the right time.
