They have been protecting and coddling pantifa for years, allowing them to terrorize residents with impunity. Pantifa is nothing but the democrat's "brownshirts" today.
Is Pantifa a typo, or am I missing something?
Two other comments re the destructive rioters:
1) Looks like the majority of these criminals are black, and blacks have been determined to have much more severe outcomes to the virus. Yet they are gathering en masse, within inches of each other, screaming and sending viral particles into the air. Many, if not most, are not wearing masks.
2) To the larger community, we have just undergone a two-month lockdown, in which half of businesses and jobs are lost forever, and just these last couple of weeks have turned the corner and we’re tentatively opening up. Will these dangerous mobsters cause a new spike in cases, cause the country to do an abrupt reversal, halt the chance of recovery, and keep people unemployed and the Dems’ UBI going until Election Day? Think about it.
Wash DC show how to handle the thugs. Since its nonPC to shoot looters, overwhelming physical force of police and soldiers, dogs and horses if you have them.
Something like this was bound to happen. Millions thrown out of work, no sports. Idle hands are the devils workshop.

Who knows what twists and turns will happen next in this bizarre story... It's anyone's guess what democrats will try next. But they aren't very original, so I could see the focus of their narrative return to COVID-19 once people get tired of hearing about the mobs, or they dissipate.

This is just a taste of what the future would be like in the hands of democrats. They have been encouraging chaos ever since Trump was elected. Now they are forcing it, and ordering police to basically allow it to happen in many cases. We should not be expected to tolerate this. The American people do not deserve this kind of degradation of civilization.
And all the while I thought these protests were because yet another black man was unnecessarily and barbarically murdered. Looting and rioting shouldn't be tolerated, but peaceful protests should and hopefully will continue.

If you think about it, it was a small group of people, that stole and destroyed property that did not belong to them, because they were upset over the taxes...and yet this event is celebrated as patriotism.

Exactly. 2nd amendment is vital to curb the savages to come. Police or not, this behavior will continue and worsen.
