The gay couple was not banned.

The cake shop did not refuse to sell or make a cake, it refused to make one specifically for the gay wedding, the gay couple was welcomed to buy any cake there or have one made not for a gay wedding.

At that, yes, all for business doing what they want, but it should be an even playing field. Not allowed in one instance, but not allowed in the next.

Your thoughts would be different if the person got banned for supporting BLM, I would bet money on that. But now all of a sudden you are for businesses doing what they want.

When the pro-BLM bartender posted the customer’s private conversation, he was promptly fired. When you run a business you have to have rules and you have to follow the rules, according to Mission on the Bay co-owner Marty Bloom.

“If you’re here, you’re in Switzerland,” Bloom said Tuesday. “People need confidentiality in our restaurant.”

It took less than 24 hours of ProgMob to turn Switzerland into Soviet territory.

Firing Heilman “was a mistake,” said fellow co-owner Wellington Augusto. “Erik is correct in standing up for what is right, and I am proud of what he has accomplished with his message.”

“It is with that in mind we no longer can welcome Don Hause into our establishment,” Augusto added.

Are you always this dense, or do you have to work at it?

I'm just waiting for people to demand to see a voter's registration card to make sure you are a registered democrat before entering a business or a district. But the joke will be on them, I was a registered democrat when I voted for Trump in 2016.

Actually, the baker offered to bake the cake, he just said he wouldn't put the two grooms on top of the cake, but was willing to throw in the toppers for free. Funny though, they won't dare try this at a Muslim bakery.

I'd agree the baker should have the right to refuse to make a cake and the bar owner should have the right to ban the customer and/or fire the bartender. I only ask that they have giant sign with their policies.

I have no use for bigoted bakery owner but I have even less use for a bar where there is no repercussions for an employee posting the contents of a private conversation they overheard.

I support the protests and the movement for police reform, but this is straight up creepy and some weird dystopian behavior. I would think a bar would be a social place to gather and talk about whatever comes to mind, without the fear of some bartender posting your conversation on social media and getting you banned from the bar.

You are the dense one. Private companies are free to serve whoever they want.
