Yep - liberals equal anti business
Conservatives don't mind that US CEOS now make more than 400 times the average workers pay, whereas in Japan it is closer to 55 to 1. Liberals want government to help business compete better HERE, and keep jobs here instead of outsource them. CEOS like to outsource because they can get big million dollar bonuses, and they don't care that Americans lose their jobs. Liberals are on the side of the workers, not the CEOS.

Its amazing how much of the liberal base is attacking conservatives -

Next??
Why shouldn't the liberal base attack conservatives? (not even real conservatives) and ESPECIALLY neoconservatives.

We're in this mess because of y'all.

Hey - I have no problem with ANYONE, even you, making as much money as they want to and can. The only one the CEO's have to answer to is the owners of the company - the shareholders. The CEO's obligation is to try to make as much money as they can for the owners of the companies.

You start putting caps on how much people can make and you have opened up a can of worms you don't really want.

Do you really want the Government to say how much someone can make?

Do you?

Because it's on this forum, where many posters are incapable of discussing anything without giving up early on and calling their opponent either a conservative or a liberal, depending, and ascribing some stereotypical viewpoints and/or behaviors to that person's group. Because all liberals are the same. And all conservatives are the same. If you take anything from this forum, it's that completely false conclusion. Yet, somehow very few of the people I know in real life are that simple.

Really? Who has been in control of the Congress the last 4 years? Who has had control of the purse strings the last 4 years?

Well, I have one question. Who did you vote for? 'Nuff said.

You draw the line in the sand, and deal with the consequences of your decision.

If you are in favor of nuances, you voted for John Kerry.

Bush vetoes everything. At every turn he's a warmonger.

Granted, the dems should grow a pair, but let's not forget it was only in 2006 they inherited this mess (in Congress). How do you explain the previous 5 years where the republicans were in control and got us into this COLOSSAL mess?

The war has been the great money drain - and it was initiated and supported by Bush and the Conservatives. Don't blame the policy on the Dems, just because they didn't have the balls to challenge the war, thereby being labeled as 'unpatriotic' or not 'supporting our troops'.

Suppose the wicked Liberals has controlled the purse string from the start, and doled 1 trillion for free health care, 1 trillion for free education and 1 trillion to welfare and Medicare. We would be in one hell of a lot better shape as a country.

Conservatives like to start wars and kill people. Liberals like to spend on social programs. So we would have a lot more people who are alive thanks to the free healthcare, lots of new college graduates to help us compete on the world stage, and a lot of people who didn't have to lose their homes to foreclosure - of course there might be a few 'welfare queens', but hey, they all bought new Cadillacs and houses!
Instead we 'accomplished' the mission of a big pile of dead corpses, thousands of injured soldiers, and are 3 trillion more in debt to China and other countries. Bush 'helped' us by giving us $900 back from the taxes we will be paying back far into the future due to the Conservatives' insane war.

Democrats Take Control of Senate As Allen Concedes to Webb in Va.
Victor Vows New Approach To Iraq War

By Michael D. Shear and Alec MacGillis
Washington Post Staff Writers
Friday, November 10, 2006; Page A01

Democrat James Webb, who campaigned for Virginia's U.S. Senate seat by opposing the war in Iraq and calling for economic fairness, yesterday succeeded in his improbable bid to unseat Republican George Allen, giving the Democrats a 51-seat majority and control of both houses of Congress.
<snip>
Webb will take his place in a Congress in which Democrats will control
both houses for the first time in 12 years.
Just sayin' Important to get the facts straight.
