Here we go again. Remember when Arizona supposedly didn’t have enough ICU beds and was going to be overrun? Whatever happened to that story? Oh yea, the hospital system was not overrun, just like Governor Ducy stated initially when he said they had enough assets to fill the need.
What is the North Dakota Governor saying on this? Basically the same thing.
If he needs help, he’ll ask the Trump administration and get what he needs.
The hospital where my daughter works setup a wing to make room for covid patients, the hospitals near where I live did the same thing. They anticipated they will receive a huge amount of patients and were proactive in preparing.
Should have happened months ago. Only delayed the inevitable. A virus is going to circulate until everyone is exposed.
The virus will continue to circulate after everyone is exposed to it. It will continue to exist as long as there's a human it can feed on or until it mutates to the point where it cannot feed on us any more to survive.
We will still catch it, too. If everyone is vaccinated, I fully expect coronavirus will mutate into some successful response for it to the vaccine.
Influenza does that.
As soon as we vaccinate for one mutation, another develops. H1N1 was a novel mutation of a known virus. It became lethal, but that was unexpected; other vaccines had worked on the same virus before, but they didn't on that mutation. All influenza viruses have the potential to be lethal.
The common cold mutates so quickly that it doesn't need strong infection to survive.

If we didn’t need those field hospitals during the initial surge - where doctors had no idea what they were dealing with and the best way to treat it - we aren’t going to need them now.

The CDC just said 85% of the people who got Covid religiously wore masks. The protection measures are delaying infections, not avoiding them. It is looking more and more like Sweden had the right approach.

People started wearing masks and the numbers dropped. Simple.
People all over the country were wearing masks for months, and then the positive cases rose - so much so, you all came on here and carried on about it. Masks don't work. Simple.

Well North Dakota is a Trump state so maybe he can helicopter all of those who need treatment to Walter Reed.
