The Trump administration on Friday unveiled a deal with CVS and Walgreens to administer a future coronavirus vaccine to nursing home residents and staff free of cost.

Under the plan introduced by the Department of Health and Human Services, trained staff from the two national pharmacy chains would deliver the vaccines to nursing homes and administer the shots. The vaccine would also be available for free to residents in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, adult family homes and residential care homes.

Promise to have CVS and Walgreens administer tax-payer funded vaccinations in the future

Since it is about a future service, he is basically just making another promise.

Both these companies have been contracted thru Medicaid /Medicare bid programs.
Trump had zelch to do with this recent addition of vaccines.
These companies simply bumped out the little man and gained a large contract , years ago. It's called corporate America.

Anyone who has been with vetarans affairs procurement can tell you Walgreens and CVS have been running medicine / supplies program without trump . He didn't make it happen. a process was in place ...

He can promise what he wants but free enterprise and insurance practices will determine who administers the vaccine when available. Very generous of him with our tax dollars, its a shame he won't be in office to see how the actual distribution occurs once a vaccine is ready...
