I'm sure this type of thread has been made but I couldn't find it. Below is the projected electoral map for 2024 and 2028.

States that gain votes:
TX (+3)
FL (+2)
AZ, CO, MT, NC, and OR (+1)

States that lose votes:
NY (-2)
AL, IL, MI, MN, OH, RI, and WV (-1)

If Puerto Rico were to become a state in the coming years it would get 7 electoral votes.

For partisan advantages, both parties gain and lose ground, but looks like Rs net a few vote gain overall.

D gains: CO+1, OR+1, WV-1, OH-1, AL-1, AZ+1

R gains: TX+3, FL+2, MT+1, NC+1, NY-2, IL-1, MI-1, MN-1, RI-1

What do you think the outcome would look like if it was Kamala/AOC vs. Nikki Haley/Kristy Noem?

Neither here nor there, but more likely 6. They've got about the same population as Iowa, but by increasing the US population by 1%, they dilute everyone's votes.

DC would get 3 though.

I'm honestly surprised Connecticut won't lose an electoral vote.
