Their platform, they can do what they want, like you said, but it sets a dangerous precedent because it's happening in college campuses, corporations, etc. all over the country. Liberal politics are allowed, conservative politics get you fired. When they start editing old newspaper articles to change history, that's when it really gets dangerous.
But it runs on public infrastructure... so can they? Why shouldn't Twitter and others be made to serve the best interests of the public?

Why should they get the benefit of a platform and act like a publisher? If they are the new proverbial town square with all the protection from lawsuits they enjoy then they should not have the right to only allow one side on their platform. If they want to be a circle jerk then they should lose their platform privileges.

No "conservatives" are getting removed from social media. Neo-fascist extremists and hate groups ARE getting removed from social media - as they should have been a long time ago. If you are a QAnoner, you are going to have a hard time finding any legitimate platform willing to give you a megaphone.
