But it runs on public infrastructure... so can they? Why shouldn't Twitter and others be made to serve the best interests of the public?

The left would say that's exactly what they're doing.

Why should they get the benefit of a platform and act like a publisher? If they are the new proverbial town square with all the protection from lawsuits they enjoy then they should not have the right to only allow one side on their platform. If they want to be a circle jerk then they should lose their platform privileges.

No "conservatives" are getting removed from social media. Neo-fascist extremists and hate groups ARE getting removed from social media - as they should have been a long time ago. If you are a QAnoner, you are going to have a hard time finding any legitimate platform willing to give you a megaphone.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
In your case it's more like:

First they came for the My Pillow Guy, and I said, "Booyah!"
Because I don't give a damn about free speech.

What are you talking about? The title of the article had the word "permanent' in it.

He deserves it. It's about time we start identifying this country's enemies and containing them. Mike Lindell is an enemy of democracy.

I don't remember you starting any threads lamenting ISIS being kicked off Twitter. Please point me to them if they're out there, thanks.

And the left is wrong, of course. The internet is the new public square and democracies need a free flow of ideas there.
