Tipton didn't indicate how he'd rule on the matter and when.

Just when the clouds seem darkest, a little bit of sunlight breaks through. Briefly.

The Texas Attorney General is a real upstanding character lol From the same article the OP linked:

"Paxton has championed conservative and far-right causes in court, including a failed lawsuit seeking to overturn Biden's victory over Trump, as he himself faces an FBI investigation over accusations by top former aides that he abused his office at the service of a donor."

The law must and shall be enforced.

Why are they here?

Are they necessary?

Why is the President being denied?

I don't like these nationwide injunctions, which were ramped up by leftist judges trying to stop the Trump agenda, and they are fair game because of that. For those saying that other courts can stop at will--to include, specifically, the 5th Circuit or/and the Supreme Court--this is true, but don't look for the 5th Circuit to quickly intervene in this case.

From a legal standpoint, it is tricky. The president generally has wide enforcement discretion. To extent that he doesn't have discretion, it generally concerns what actions he cannot affirmatively take in contravention of a law. This law in question doesn't provide for discretion, so the judge's ruling appears fine based on that alone (the law says that illegals "shall" be deported within a certain time period, thus Biden has zero basis to halt deportations).

We'll see what higher courts say, though. I'm hopeful that this ruling stands.

These fools never think before they leap. They run on pure emotions. So... if what they want to do is viewed as scoring them some virtue signalling points, they run with it. It didn't matter to Biden that his executive orders to kill the Keystone XL Pipeline and stall leases on federal lands caused thousands of families to have their lives turned upside down and mom or dad lose their jobs.

Once again, Democrats started this. Now let them lie in the bed they made.

of course, it's no longer "Trump's DHS, CBP, and ICE" that's handling this. If Biden's WH gets the right folks in the right places, they can just continue every case for 100 days. Even those ICE managed to catch coming off a prison sentence.
