That would include those whose income is solely government assistance, provided with Other People's Money. So if the value of their food stamps, Medicaid, and subsidized housing is the equivalent of $30,000 a year, they owe $300 back.

How so? It ensures that the wealthy don't get away with paying absolutely nothing, or nearly nothing, and we would collect at least some money from each and every adult in the country.

To the contrary, the way you make the deficit explode is to do what the Dems are doing now: spending trillions and trillions with pork-laden projects and handing money out left and right to people so they don't have to work and pay taxes.

My biggest change to the Tax code would be to tax Capital Gains as income, and not a seperate lower rate.

Most Billionaires get a to claim a very modest "salary" but are worth so much because of this.

Then you could lower rates all together.

How much is living in the USA worth to you?

Flat tax no deductions for anything.

How people live and run their businesses is not the business of government so I'd stop subsidizing anything. How many kids people have is their business. The kinds of equipment a business wants is their business.

Short memory or something? Forget trump exploded the deficit?

Wouldn’t raise remotely the revenue that is raised today. Why the flat tax has never made it on the table.

Fair would be the same percentage, no matter income.

That’s a deceiving and false statement.

Someone with wealth enjoys more of what the country has to offer than the poorest.

Because it's not about fair. It's about politics. You have any idea what the unemployment rate would be if income taxes could be done on a 3x5" postcard and how many IRS people, accountants, etc would suddenly become obsolete?
