The last thing Crypto needs is government involvement. Our government(s), with rare exceptions, can’t figure out how to empty a boot with instructions written on the heel. If they get involved in Crypto, they’ll do nothing but screw it up.
I have no doubt that eventually all states and the federal government will dig into Crypto, nor that the more they get involved the more onerous dealing with Crypto will become.
Oh yes, and what if like insurance you have to meet the rules and regulations of EACH SEPARATE STATE.
Does anyone here really think the Elite's are going to give up financial and informational control forever?
They will allow Web3 developers to built it, & then the Elite's will take it over so they can monitor everything people do globally, using digital $ & info.
There will be ZERO privacy, unless you go off the grid. Every penny you spend, & every web site you visit, every post you write, all of it will be watched by computers. Data mining will ID you as a potential tax evader, or political threat.
Camera's everywhere too...no place to hide, & Web3 will facilitate it all.
The Amish are looking wiser to me with each passing day....the way they shun technology...it's like they've been to the future, then came back.
We will all become slaves to technolgy, & a small group of Elites who control it. Step out of line, & they take your crypto, turn off your power, your cell phone connection, your ability to buy anything (like food) & send a drone to eliminate you...just a matter of when we'll all be digitaly controlled by 0's & 1's.

Just curious, how you gonna go off the grid, if there will be no cash? Full homesteading? Same state already imposed tax on privately owned water wells. As example, how will you escape something like that? Giving them foot in the door to keep fining you and, eventually, ending in armed people at your gate?

They will NEVER EVER get rid of physical cash! Corruption relies on it too heavily, with any kind of crypto, there is a transaction trail.
We already are. Look at the younger generations.....that phone is glued to their hands.
They are sucking younger people into the digital age, so they become reliant upon it.
The gov't knows where they are, where they've been, & AI will be able to preduct where they are likely to go next.
Gov't knows what they buy (paypal & venmo), who they buy it from, & who they pay.
This is how law enforcement catches a lot of criminals...using their cell phone locations & records. Smart criminals use burner phones, & get others to buy the phones for them using cash.
Washington using blockchain tech will just speed up total gov't control over its residents. People earning a living using the gig economy will be flushed out and have to pay taxes (payroll+income) on a lot of income that is not currently being seen by gov't.
I see almost all technology as bad now because it allows a very few people to control the masses...digitally.
Apparently, they want to become a crypto hub for the country. Must be Microsoft legacy or something. I have no idea, why they suddenly decide to be crypto cutting edge region. Must be sniffing future profits to come?
