Plus, what does she want that kind of scrutiny for? She would go from being universally liked to instantly hated by half the country. Just like when Trump announced. Why would she want to ruin her perfect life like that?

The problem is that you (folks) look at running the nation as some sort of "show" or "media." Like a popularity contest. I don't. Most people on the right or libertarian side of things don't.
Your statement works if Trump was not the darling of the right. Not only was he a media personality who thought of winning the white house as a popularity contest or ratings like his show the Apprentice but picked media personalities for his administration and seems to pick every well know personality for his endorsements like Dr. Oz (who happens to be a Oprah product) or Hershel Walker. I mean "Omarosa" was in his administration for a while. What was her qualifications? Good ratings when she appeared on the Apprentice?

Oprah never did anything like what Jerry Springer does.
She has done so much smart stuff, smart interviews. Her pieces with Mya Angelou were fabulous, she has had other authors/business people, personalities, even Donald Trump back when he was charming and interesting (what in the blazes happened to him, who knows, might be a brain tumor prefrontal lobe damage).
She the first celebrity personnel to start a "book club" and her endorsement has made the careers of some excellent new writers.
Hate her if you want, you'll be pretty much alone.
Don't bet on it. A lot of people have turned on her. I used to be a fan when I was a working person. I would catch her show once in a while if I was off or sick. I quit my job at 40 to be a stay at home mom and I was looking forward to catching her show more. I was on bedrest for a few months before my baby was born so I turned her on. This was when she has just celebrated her 50th birthday and she talked about it nonstop. She was a total narcissist. When she would have a celebrity interview, I noticed each one of them spent the first part of the show gushing over HER which I realized was part the the plan. I know many people no longer liked her after she endorsed Obama but that was not why I quit watching. I voted for Obama in 2008. I have never seen anyone so in love with herself.
Running the nation is, in fact, a "show" for the President. They have the benefit of all the best advisors to keep them aware of everything happening, give them excellent advice, and even write their words for them.
If they amass a cabinet and other advisors who are on the wise and smart, all they have to do is be able to stand up and look smart and leaderlike. Being tall helps also.
It's absolutely a showman position.
It has become 100% clear after Trump and then Biden that that couldn't be further from the truth.
