Too little too late but it is a start. Something has to be done about this invasion. The problem of course is that by enforcing our immigration laws and returning the law breakers back to the Border will force the Illegals to take greater chances. How soon will we see another pile of bodies that were smuggled in and left to die? When it happens the Left will blame Abbott and probably talk about impeaching him.
If that's what you're concerned about, then I'd encourage you to contact your congressperson to ask them to make it easier to immigrate to the US legally. But if the law is there on the books, it should be enforced. We can't arbitrarily choose to ignore law because someone might harm themselves breaking the law.
When a mob break into someones house, we the people are legally justified when we help.
Sure, as your house is your castle. Well within your Constitutional Rights. But when a mob breaks into your State, it is the authorities responsibility to protect us. But not while violating anyone's Constitutional Rights.

Not citizens. No constitutional rights.
Toss them back over the fence, shoot them, whatever it takes.
They are foreign invaders.
so the wall was just a way to "delay" crossings? LOL.
And here I have read on here so many times that the big bad wall was going to stop illegals and mexico was going to pay for it through tariffs and some other made up mumbo jumbo, How'd that work out?
The wall where it has been built already doesn't just delay crossings it deters 90% of them from crossing. Doesn't matter who pays for it it is will worth it when you consider that illegal aliens cost us over $100 billion a year not to mention the criminals and those from known terrorist countries violating our nation's borders. From your posts though I surmise that you don't want this invasion to stop as you have a vested interest in it.
Once again, we have "virtual" open borders due to the policies and encouragement of Biden and the Democrats. If you can't see that then you must be blind.
You cannot seal a land border the length of the border between the US and Mexico. It's impossible. And, unless you want to stop all cross border trade with Mexico, there will still be hundreds of thousands of crossings of that border every day, which means there is potential for illegal things to happen.
It’s not impossible, it’s just not a priority. Biden would rather send billions to protect Ukraine’s border, when that money could be used to stop virtually all illegal crossings. Sure, a handful here and there would get through, but about 99% less than now.
Look, I’m not unsympathetic to these migrants. If there is a job sitting unfilled in the US, and they are willing to do the work, they should absolutely be given a work visa.
But the elite doesn’t want that. They want to exploit these people and use them for basically slave labor. Then they feel guilty about all the billions they’ve made off of these people, so they demand that the middle class funds their healthcare and other assistance.
Most countries have logic based immigration. I’m currently in a country on a work visa where 90% of the population is also on a work visa and are not citizens of that country. If you can’t work, you are deported. If you are injured or sick and can’t be fixed, you are deported. If you cause trouble, you are deported. If you foment discord, you are deported.
The US needs merit based immigration and a secure border.
