^This! Fox has always been a mouth piece for the establishment GOP like the Bush family, Cheneys, McCain, McConnel and now this McCarthy. But yet Tucker is still one of their highest viewed programs, so the people have already spoken to who they will really listen to.

What it means is Fox News has dropped Trump as their poster boy, so Trump will not get near the free coverage he got before. Every appearence he did used to get coverage, and several Rally's he did got extensive Fox live coverage...no more. That coverage was worth Millions of dollars Trump didnt have to spend advertising.

It also means that DeSantis is Fox News's new Golden Boy...so he can expect Millions of free exposure, if he decides to run.

Fox was clearing the runway for DeSantis at the earliest possible juncture to give DeSantis all the time he needs to make his decision.

Elon Musk also just said he's behind DeSantis, so Ron has a lot of wind at his back. If Ron gets the Florida law passed that he doesn't have to resign as Governor of Florida to run for President, then I think he'll run.

If that law fails, I dont think he'll run this time. Florida's State House is 2/3rds Pub, so it should pass.

Because they want their ratings to go in the tank? Is that what you're saying without realizing it?

I think they are betting going negative on Trump may help their ratings in some way...maybe attract more Independents, & moderate Dem viewers

They cant go all negative all the time on Trump because they'd lose too many viewers.

I think they are trying to play both sides. As prior posters said, Fox's talking heads like Carlson are still all in with Trump at this juncture.

I don't think Fox News owenrship wants Trump to be the nominee in '24...he wants DeSantis.

I'm not at all sure Fox's ratings will tank. What other news network will conservatives watch instead?

Fox News will still have a decidedly conservative slant.

The network just dumped Trump is all. They haven't abandoned the other Republicans.

The LA Times newspaper for 7 years now has had a couple at least articles against Trump everyday. Everyday, The good thing is no one reads it except me and a handful of others.

You really started to see this, when a few weeks ago they cut away from him ranting. Fox was still showing the video but with no sound. You could see on the anchors face, I dont know her name but she look confused hearing him talk. People are tired of hearing a grown man cry and play the victim and blaming others. Especially when you see the video of him admitting he lost. So the big lie, deaths and all the chaos is on him. You can tell a man's true character when he is at his lowest. Now you know what kind of a man Trump truly is.

Ugh, the LA Times. Can search most of the issues here and results would have one thinking they are reading the Huff Post or watching Msnbc. They slimed and possibly cost Larry Elder the recall vote with inuendo, biased titles and/or 'coverage'.

Right now FOX just wants to omit or avoid. Old man Murdoch was probably threatened by Biden's FCC although between board member Paul Ryan and his liberal children it was an envitiability.

The cracks are huge crevasses at this point. The new session of Congress with so-called "Republicans" controlling the House is going to be a circus as the crazy far-Right Freedom Club shows their hind end to the whole world. It will be a competition to see who can be the most vile as they parade for their constituents back in the ruby-red states.

Donald Trump? He will love every minute of it - because as we all know, what he cannot control he will destroy. The GOP just happened to be the right vehicle at the right time, with a ready made base softened up and eager to swallow any feel-good propaganda he cared to feed them.

Now that his chances of being re-elected are disappearing, he will cast them all in the ditch. Out of spite he may form his own party, but he surely has no allegiance to the Republican Party. After all this is a guy that flip-flopped from Democrat to Independent to Republican at the drop of a hat.

As far as Fox, CNN, MSNBC and all the rest of them, they will continue to do what they have done for decades, provide infotainment for the masses. They have not provided much in the way of news or journalism for a long time. It's not surprising that Fox would "turn" against Trump. They will "turn" toward whatever schlock brings eyes to the screen and keeps the money flowing in from their advertisers.
